Promo

Please don’t send me messages asking me to promo you. I get hundreds of them, and if I was to promo every single one, that’s all this blog would be about. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate people asking me, but please consider my dilemma here… I’m more than willing to do promo FOR promo though, so message me if you’re interested! :) Also, messaging me and asking me to vote for stuff is just pointless - if I’m to vote for something, it’ll be something I’m informed about, not because someone tells me to do it…

Have an awesome weekend people, and best of luck to all teams competing! And remember:

Anonymous asked: Hi! so on the website i wanted to get an iBase t-shirt on the website, which i assume is yours.... on spreadshirt and i wanted a womans one but there are only mens, and i remember there used to be womens so i was wondering what happened to those?

Anonymous asked: any tips on how to get flexible quick and easy?

Sorry, there’s no such thing as a quick and easy way to get flexible. If you want it to last and to NOT be damaging on your muscles and tendons, you need to work on it over time. Stretch every day, and you’ll get there faster than you’d think!

thatcheerleadingchick asked: Advice for really bad wrist pain?

I have really bad wrists myself, and my advice is that if the pain is unbearable, let it rest for a practice or two.
If you can bear it, make sure that you secure it and support it. Don’t use the soft type of wrap, use something that has some form of support in it (I prefer the kind with a brace inside it).

dessybeenbadd asked: those bows that you post pics of. who makes those? or do you know where i can buy some?

Hey! Most of my bows are from Wild Bows, and you can order from her FB page. They’re only $10 each, and she ships internationally!

kayemm asked: I love that a girl in your squad is at CEA while she's on exchange. I'm so jealous! I was on exchange in North Carolina last year but I was too far away from any CEA gyms to try and join :( Would have loved to but I had no way of getting myself there.

Yeah, it’s pretty awesome. She had it all planned out beforehand though, that probably made it a lot easier.

Anonymous asked: I'm a base, but I'm being switched to a flyer next season and I need to stretch my stretch. Please help!

Sorry, I’m not a flyer, so I don’t have any secret tips for how to stretch your flyer positions. I would probably start stretching every day though. Both splits and your back especially. At least 15 minutes a day! Good luck :)

abcderikajade asked: Hi, I'm 15 and I just started at a new school. I really want to tryout for cheer in the spring. I've never cheered before but I can do a split, scorpion and scale. I've wanted to be a cheerleader for seriously as long as I can remember. I was wondering what I should know how to do when I tryout and what the judges will be looking for.

Hi!
It’s hard for me to say what the coach on YOUR squad will be looking for, but when I had my high school tryouts, they weren’t necessarily looking for someone who already had plenty of cheerskills (allthough flexibility is always a plus). They looked for someone who could take directions easily, who was focused on what they were doing, who showed willingness to learn, someone who was cheery and positive and someone who really wanted to be on the squad. If you really want it, and you give it your all at tryouts, I’m sure you’ll get it!

Best of luck! <3

giannnnnamariee asked: why do guys think it's 'gay' to for them to be a cheerleader? I bet most people don't even know cheer was originated for males.

Hard to say. I suppose it’s because now it’s a female dominated sport (as opposed to what it was 100 years ago), and like with all other female dominated activities (ballet, figure skating, etc.) guys are a little “scared” to get into it. Therefore I think that it is really important to encourage the guys who already are cheerleaders, and appreciate them for joining.

blue-baby-thunder asked: I would love to be on your list for cheer blogs! :)

And I would love to put you on it, but it’s for 100% cheer blogs only. Sorry :-/ Love your blog though!

glittercheertumble asked: hiii. I love your page ! I'm on a level 3 coed allstar team and I also cheer for my high school. I'm new to tumblr and I was wondering if you can help me get some followers ? im a 100% cheer blog <3

Sure! I’ve added you to my bloglist, and I’ve followed you :)

cheer-tator asked: For the person who asked about the worlds rings. Yupp every 1st place champ gets one in every division. Level 5&6

Thanks!

Anonymous asked: No matter what level you're on, if you get 1st at Worlds you get a ring, right?

Sorry, I’m not sure. I’m a Norwegian cheerleader, so I’m not 100% familiar with the world of American cheerleading.

Anonymous asked: is it okay to be in tenth grade and on a jv cheer team instead of varsity?

Of course! It’s okay to do whatever you want :)
When I was a high school cheerleader, I was a senior on the JV team (mostly because I moved to that school after the senior try-outs were held), and I never even thought about it being weird or lame.

Don’t worry about it, as long as you love what you do, it shouldn’t matter what other people say or think!

Anonymous asked: are you a flyer?if so how much do you weigh? Not trying to be weird but im trying out for cheer in the call and i don't want too be too heavy for my bases...

No, I am not a flyer, I’m a base.
A flyer’s weight isn’t always the deciding factor - what matters most is how she/he carries themselves. Look at Maddie Gardner - yes, she’s skinny, but she’s also taller than most flyers. BUT, she’s got plenty of muscles, and carries her own weight so that it’s easier on the bases. Flyers that can carry their own weight are the best flyers, in my opinion.
