Please don’t send me messages asking me to promo you. I get hundreds of them, and if I was to promo every single one, that’s all this blog would be about. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate people asking me, but please consider my dilemma here… I’m more than willing to do promo FOR promo though, so message me if you’re interested! :) Also, messaging me and asking me to vote for stuff is just pointless - if I’m to vote for something, it’ll be something I’m informed about, not because someone tells me to do it…
Have an awesome weekend people, and best of luck to all teams competing! And remember:

Sorry, there’s no such thing as a quick and easy way to get flexible. If you want it to last and to NOT be damaging on your muscles and tendons, you need to work on it over time. Stretch every day, and you’ll get there faster than you’d think!
I have really bad wrists myself, and my advice is that if the pain is unbearable, let it rest for a practice or two.
If you can bear it, make sure that you secure it and support it. Don’t use the soft type of wrap, use something that has some form of support in it (I prefer the kind with a brace inside it).
Yeah, it’s pretty awesome. She had it all planned out beforehand though, that probably made it a lot easier.
Sorry, I’m not a flyer, so I don’t have any secret tips for how to stretch your flyer positions. I would probably start stretching every day though. Both splits and your back especially. At least 15 minutes a day! Good luck :)
Hi!
It’s hard for me to say what the coach on YOUR squad will be looking for, but when I had my high school tryouts, they weren’t necessarily looking for someone who already had plenty of cheerskills (allthough flexibility is always a plus). They looked for someone who could take directions easily, who was focused on what they were doing, who showed willingness to learn, someone who was cheery and positive and someone who really wanted to be on the squad. If you really want it, and you give it your all at tryouts, I’m sure you’ll get it!
Best of luck! <3
Hard to say. I suppose it’s because now it’s a female dominated sport (as opposed to what it was 100 years ago), and like with all other female dominated activities (ballet, figure skating, etc.) guys are a little “scared” to get into it. Therefore I think that it is really important to encourage the guys who already are cheerleaders, and appreciate them for joining.
And I would love to put you on it, but it’s for 100% cheer blogs only. Sorry :-/ Love your blog though!
Sure! I’ve added you to my bloglist, and I’ve followed you :)
Thanks!
Sorry, I’m not sure. I’m a Norwegian cheerleader, so I’m not 100% familiar with the world of American cheerleading.
Of course! It’s okay to do whatever you want :)
When I was a high school cheerleader, I was a senior on the JV team (mostly because I moved to that school after the senior try-outs were held), and I never even thought about it being weird or lame.
Don’t worry about it, as long as you love what you do, it shouldn’t matter what other people say or think!
No, I am not a flyer, I’m a base.
A flyer’s weight isn’t always the deciding factor - what matters most is how she/he carries themselves. Look at Maddie Gardner - yes, she’s skinny, but she’s also taller than most flyers. BUT, she’s got plenty of muscles, and carries her own weight so that it’s easier on the bases. Flyers that can carry their own weight are the best flyers, in my opinion.
